Role Overview

We are seeking a full-time Reporter to be based onsite in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The successful candidate will be responsible for investigating and collecting news from diverse sources, conducting interviews, verifying information, and generating story ideas that align with editorial goals.

This position entails composing clear, precise, and captivating news articles, features, and analyses suitable for various media formats. The Reporter will collaborate closely with editors and multimedia teams to ensure the publication of timely and relevant content. Duties also include attending press conferences and events, nurturing solid relationships with key sources, and keeping abreast of local and international developments pertinent to Mitsui High-tec Mexicana’s operations.

The role demands adherence to tight deadlines, upholding journalistic ethics, and maintaining high editorial standards throughout all output.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven reporting expertise, including developing sources, conducting effective interviews, and thorough fact-checking
• Strong writing skills, especially in news writing focused on clarity, accuracy, and compelling storytelling
• Excellent communication abilities for engaging with various stakeholders
• Experience working with multimedia content formats such as digital, social media, photography, and video
• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Media Studies, or a closely related discipline preferred
• Background in news, business, or industry reporting, preferably within an international context
• Good understanding of journalistic ethics, editorial policies, and familiarity with the UAE media environment is beneficial
• Capability to work efficiently under pressure, managing several assignments simultaneously while meeting strict deadlines
• Fluency in English is mandatory; additional languages provide an advantage
