Job description

Role overview

This position sits within the Small Enterprises (SE) team focused on working capital products. The role calls for a proactive, target-driven relationship professional who can originate business, manage client relationships, and support a portfolio of small enterprise customers with turnover of up to ₹100 Cr. A key part of the role is keeping the portfolio healthy while identifying opportunities to cross-sell relevant banking solutions.

Key responsibilities

  • Bring in new-to-bank clients from the small enterprise segment, especially businesses with turnover up to ₹100 Cr, using market insights, referrals, and industry connections.
  • Build, maintain, and expand relationships with the existing customer base to improve satisfaction and long-term retention.
  • Analyze financial data and draft detailed credit notes for both new and existing clients, with risk assessment and proposal structuring aligned to internal credit guidelines.
  • Work closely with internal credit stakeholders during proposal review and approval, while clearly understanding customer requirements and matching them with suitable offerings.
  • Protect portfolio quality by tracking renewals, ensuring limit adherence, maintaining documentation, and watching for early warning signs to reduce delinquency risk.
  • Spot and pursue cross-sell opportunities across trade finance, treasury, cash management, insurance, and working capital products.

Candidate profile

  • Graduate or postgraduate qualification in Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline.
  • 3 to 4 years of experience in corporate, SME, or mid-market banking.
  • Good grasp of financial statement analysis and credit evaluation.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building capabilities.
  • Ability to grow business while managing credit risk responsibly.
