About the Role
Auckland Council's Building Consent team invites applications for a permanent full-time Regulatory Support Officer position based at the Manukau hub. This role centers around delivering efficient administrative and process support to ensure seamless operation of the end-to-end building consenting procedures. It offers a customer-oriented environment within a dedicated team focused on quality service delivery. Following training, a hybrid working arrangement becomes available.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive support for all consenting applications under the Building Consent department.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain accuracy and integrity of regulatory consent data.
- Manage customer inquiries and complaints related to financial disputes, invoicing, and regulatory applications, ensuring satisfactory resolutions.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is tech-savvy with proven administrative experience, strong communication abilities, and adeptness in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word and Excel. A detail-oriented and proactive approach is essential. Familiarity with building legislation and SAP systems will enhance the application.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of four years’ experience in business administration and customer service roles.
- Confidence in handling complex databases and managing financial account reconciliations and customer disputes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
