Job description
Role Overview
We are seeking a casual Registered Nurse to join Oceania at our Redwood location. This role allows you to utilize your nursing skills fully within a nurse-led environment. Your clinical knowledge and decision-making capabilities will be key in providing compassionate, comprehensive care for our residents. You will also coordinate their daily care needs, motivate the team, and create meaningful connections with residents and their families.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate the daily healthcare requirements of residents, fostering motivation and support among colleagues.
- Conduct thorough nursing evaluations and interventions independently and collaboratively.
- Exercise autonomy by making critical decisions about resident care.
- Develop strong, supportive relationships with residents, their relatives, and allied health professionals.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to care staff and team members.
Candidate Profile
- Hold a current New Zealand Annual Practicing Certificate.
- Demonstrate a strong dedication to delivering exceptional service.
- Have prior experience with clinical systems; InterRAI experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Display effective time management skills.
- Be capable of coaching and mentoring junior staff.
- Availability to work on a rostered shift basis.
Employment Details
- Pay rate ranges from NZD 37.38 to 53.22 per hour, based on experience.
