About Defence Housing Australia (DHA)
Established in 1988 under the Defence Housing Australia Act 1987, DHA provides suitable housing and related services to Australian Defence Force (ADF) members and their families. Managing over 17,200 homes and administering rent allowances for more than 16,000 personnel, DHA supports Defence’s operational requirements through housing provisioning, allocation, and on-base accommodation management for around 60,000 members.
Team Overview
The Service Delivery Group ensures the delivery of quality housing services, including stock management, tenancy, repairs, and maintenance.
Role Summary
As a Regional Support Officer, you will be a key contributor to regional operations by providing high-level administrative and coordination support. Your duties include organizing business activities, preparing executive correspondence and briefing materials, and fostering effective stakeholder relationships. You will act as the regional liaison for customer relations, resolving complex issues and contributing to workplace improvements. This role suits someone who excels in dynamic, fast-paced settings, handles competing priorities confidently, and is committed to delivering excellent service and continuous improvement.
Employment Details
This opportunity is available as either an ongoing position or a non-ongoing contract up to 12 months, with potential for extension or permanency. A merit pool may be created for future vacancies.
