Job Role Overview

We are seeking a Regional Payroll Operations Specialist to join our expanding team. Reporting to the Regional Payroll Manager, this role focuses on managing payroll processes across multiple APAC countries, notably India, ensuring accuracy and timely execution. The specialist will collaborate closely with HR and Finance teams, handling everything from onboarding to compliance checks. They will also actively contribute to vendor consolidation and enhancing operational workflows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary contact for payroll partners, guaranteeing precise and prompt payroll data entry, transactions, and reporting.
  • Adhere strictly to payroll schedules and procedures, ensuring dependability in payroll data management.
  • Coordinate payroll functions with internal teams, managing adjustments, terminations, and related transactions.
  • Deliver accurate payroll information to Accounting and assist with reconciliation processes.
  • Work alongside the Regional Payroll Manager in generating reports, analyzing data, conducting audits, and driving continuous improvements.
  • Partner with HR to address employee payroll queries and administer garnishments, tax levies, and deductions.
  • Handle specialized payroll activities, including off-cycle payments, advances, and urgent corrections when necessary.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards to monitor payroll cycle progress, identify issues, and promote timely resolutions.
  • Support the Payroll Vendor Consolidation Project, aiding in standardization and enhancing vendor effectiveness.
  • Proactively identify and suggest improvements for payroll operations and processes.

Candidate Profile and Required Experience

  • Minimum of three years managing payroll across multiple countries, preferably in dynamic or multi-client settings.
  • Hands-on payroll processing experience in India is essential; familiarity with other APAC markets is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills to effectively handle payroll inquiries and foster trust among partners.
  • Demonstrated capability to assist in process improvement and system upgrades.
  • Excellent organizational aptitude with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in various HRIS, payroll software, and reporting tools with adaptability to new platforms.
  • Experience in multinational payroll implementations or onboarding initiatives is advantageous.
