Job Overview

Our prestigious client, a leading international service company in the food and catering sector based in Frankfurt, offers an intriguing opportunity through direct employment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Regular reconciliation of tax accounts
  • Tax calculations for semi-annual and annual financial statements as well as budgeting
  • Computation of deferred taxes in accordance with IFRS
  • Assessment of tax assessments and notices
  • Preparation of formal objections against tax assessments
  • Review of monthly VAT advance returns and VAT verifications
  • Serving as the go-to expert for various tax-related inquiries
  • Liaising with tax consultants, auditors, and tax inspections
  • Handling documentation related to the internal control system
  • Conducting tax reviews of contracts
  • Leading projects related to the preparation of tax returns and electronic balance sheets internally

Candidate Profile

  • Completed studies in economics with a focus on taxation or equivalent qualification such as tax specialist (Steuerfachwirt/in)
  • Minimum two years of professional experience within auditing or tax consulting firms, tax departments, or public financial administration
  • Excellent knowledge of German tax law and accounting standards, especially regarding determination of deferred taxes under IFRS and HGB
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, notably strong skills in Excel
  • Independent, structured, and efficient working style
  • High degree of initiative, flexibility, and teamwork abilities
  • Good command of English language
