Recreation Experience Expert (Pool Attendant)

Position Overview

This role focuses on ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming atmosphere at the pool and recreational areas of The Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Doha. The Pool Attendant is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, promoting a joyful environment, monitoring recreational activities, and assisting guests appropriately, including in emergencies, while upholding the company's high service standards.

Key Duties

• Clean the pool deck thoroughly by washing, mopping, and maintaining tidiness.
• Create an enjoyable and relaxing environment for guests during all recreational activities by demonstrating enthusiasm and positivity.
• Observe activities to ensure guest safety, respond suitably to emergencies as per established procedures, and enforce facility rules.
• Identify guests unable to safely participate in activities and notify supervisors accordingly.
• Assist injured guests until professional medical help arrives.
• Manage towels in line with company standards, including collecting, folding, and stacking.
• Report any accidents, unsafe conditions, or injuries to management promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and professional appearance in accordance with company policies.
• Ensure confidentiality of confidential company information and safeguard assets.
• Greet and acknowledge guests warmly, anticipate their needs, assist guests with disabilities, and thank guests sincerely.
• Communicate professionally and establish positive relationships with colleagues.
• Adhere to quality assurance standards and company expectations.
• Handle light physical tasks, including moving objects up to 25 pounds, navigating uneven surfaces, and performing physical movements like bending, twisting, and reaching.
• Undertake any other reasonable tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Education: Completion of high school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
• No prior work experience or supervisory experience required.
• Certifications: Current CPR and First Aid certifications are mandatory.
• Additional local or state certifications relevant to fitness equipment or safety may be required.
