Role Overview

This full-time, on-site Receptionist position involves warmly welcoming guests and managing check-in and check-out processes. The role also requires addressing inquiries in person, via telephone, and through email communication. Daily duties include handling reservations, maintaining accurate guest records, coordinating with housekeeping and other departments, and performing front desk clerical responsibilities such as filing and data entry. The Receptionist will process payments, offer information about the property and local surroundings, and assist guests with service requests to ensure a seamless and enjoyable stay. Maintaining professionalism, attentiveness to detail, and calm handling of busy periods are essential traits.

Candidate Qualifications

• Proficiency in Reception duties and clerical tasks such as managing check-ins/check-outs, reservations, record maintenance, and basic administration.
• Excellent communication skills and polite phone etiquette to interact clearly and professionally with guests and colleagues.
• Strong customer service orientation focused on problem-solving, patience, and enhancing guest satisfaction.
• Basic computer skills; familiarity with front desk or reservation software is advantageous.
• Previous experience in hospitality, front office, or customer-facing roles is preferred.
• The ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays as per guest requirements.
• Fluency in English and local languages common in Palghat is favored.
