About the Role

As an R&D Incentives Manager based in Dublin under a hybrid work arrangement, you will hold a permanent managerial position responsible for leading the preparation and management of R&D tax credit claims aligned with each client's specific needs. You will support clients during Revenue audits related to R&D and Knowledge Development Box (KDB) claims and will coordinate the delivery of R&D incentive services to both Irish and multinational corporations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee drafting and submission of R&D tax credit claims customized for individual client requirements.
  • Offer assistance during official audits on R&D and KDB claims.
  • Lead and organize R&D Incentives services in a dynamic environment for a diverse client base.
  • Participate actively in thought leadership initiatives and cultivate business development opportunities.
  • Manage a varied portfolio ensuring exceptional client service and engagement quality.
  • Gain insights into Ireland's incentives framework by working within the country's most experienced R&D incentives team.

About the Team

KPMG’s R&D Incentives Practice, started in 2004 with the inception of the R&D tax credit, is the largest and most experienced in Ireland. The multidisciplinary team includes experts from tax, finance, science, and engineering to support robust claim preparations across various industries and business scales. The team maintains strong relations with stakeholders including the government and regulators, ensuring compliance and effectiveness of claims.

Candidate Profile

  • Desirable qualifications include Chartered Accountant, equivalent, or Chartered Tax Advisor from the Irish Taxation Institute.
  • Applicants should have current managerial experience within a practice or equivalent industry role.
  • Direct experience in R&D incentives is not mandatory but advantageous.
  • A strong interest in innovation and research development is important.
  • Experience managing client relationships effectively.
