Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Ramco Payroll Consultant based in Perth. This permanent position involves assessing and enhancing Ramco Payroll implementations to align thoroughly with business needs and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Examine Ramco Payroll solution design, configurations, processing workflows, and implementation strategies.
- Evaluate payroll architecture including statutory configurations, calendars, and operational controls.
- Ensure payroll processes are aligned with business requirements, solution designs, and operational procedures.
- Review comprehensive payroll functions such as master data management, attendance, leave processing, calculations, retroactive processing, and final settlements.
- Assess integrations with systems including HRMS, Time & Attendance, Finance, Banking, Tax, and Benefits platforms.
- Detect configuration shortcomings, process inefficiencies, over-customization, and potential scalability concerns.
- Analyze data quality, security protocols, segregation of duties, audit processes, and governance around payroll.
- Review payroll reconciliation, exception handling, report generation, and operational support activities.
- Investigate recurring payroll problems to identify underlying causes related to configuration, data, processes, and integration.
- Compare current payroll solutions against Ramco best practices to propose enhancements that maximize standard capabilities.
- Document findings with risk assessments, business impacts, and actionable recommendations.
- Communicate findings and improvement plans to senior-level stakeholders and offer remediation assistance when necessary.
Candidate Profile
- At least 8 years of payroll experience, including a minimum of 5 years with hands-on Ramco Payroll work.
- Strong background in Ramco Payroll implementations, ongoing support, upgrades, or transformations.
- Experience performing payroll health checks, solution audits, quality assurance, or independent assessments.
- Deep understanding of payroll operations, statutory compliance, calculations, internal controls, and reconciliation processes.
- Practical expertise with Ramco configuration, system integrations, data migration, reporting, security, and support functions.
- Exceptional analytical skills coupled with problem-solving and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
- Adept at translating complex technical evaluations into clear, actionable business risks and solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ramco Payroll certification or comparable professional accreditation.
- Experience managing payroll transformation projects, audits, program assurance, or vendor governance roles.
- Knowledge of multi-country payroll operations and statutory compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with payroll parallel run processes, reconciliation procedures, and post-implementation stabilization efforts.
