Radiologist (Female)

About the Role

The Radiologist position at a hospital in Abu Dhabi demands expertise in interpreting various medical imaging tests and collaborating effectively with medical teams to facilitate accurate patient diagnosis and treatment plans. This full-time role reports directly to the Head of Radiology or Medical Director and requires a female candidate.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and report on diagnostic imaging including X-rays, ultrasound, CT scans, MRI, mammography, fluoroscopy, and other specialized modalities.
• Perform or oversee image-guided interventions as per qualifications and hospital policies.
• Deliver precise, prompt, and clinically relevant radiology reports.
• Communicate significant or urgent imaging results to referring doctors and clinical teams.
• Review patients’ clinical history prior to examination assessment to inform interpretation.
• Adhere strictly to patient safety standards, ensuring adequate radiation protection.
• Engage regularly in multidisciplinary meetings, tumor boards, and clinical discussions.
• Collaborate closely with radiographers, technologists, nurses, and healthcare staff.
• Maintain medical documentation with strict confidentiality compliance.
• Contribute to quality improvement activities including peer reviews, audits, and continued education.
• Comply with hospital policies, professional regulations, and licensing requirements.
• Keep current with advancements in radiology and imaging technology.

Qualifications and Skills

• Hold a medical degree such as MBBS or MD or equivalent.
• Possess postgraduate qualifications in Radiology (e.g., MD, DNB, FRCR, or similar).
• Maintain a valid medical license and specialist certification relevant to the practicing jurisdiction.
• Demonstrate solid clinical experience in diagnostic radiology.
• Exhibit strong analytic and diagnostic capabilities with comprehensive knowledge of imaging techniques.
• Display excellent communication and interpersonal aptitude geared toward multidisciplinary teamwork.
• Be detail-oriented with a dedication to patient safety and clinical priorities.
• Ability to manage urgent and complex diagnostic cases effectively.
• Proficient in using PACS, RIS, and electronic health record systems.
• Committed to ongoing professional growth and evidence-based medical practices.
