Radiographer Technologist - Sonographer

About the Role

ART Fertility Clinics is seeking a committed and empathetic Radiographer Technologist specializing as a Sonographer to join their Clinical Team in Abu Dhabi. The role involves working collaboratively with medical professionals to support patient care through sonographic imaging.

Primary Responsibilities

• Conduct ultrasound examinations under physician supervision, ensuring accurate image capture with the transducer probe.
• Clarify the ultrasound process for patients to minimize any uncertainty or confusion.
• Maintain and sterilize ultrasound equipment and the procedure room regularly.
• Apply ultrasound gel appropriately on patients to visualize internal anatomy during imaging procedures.
• Prepare and perform transvaginal ultrasound scans accurately.
• Assess image quality and interpret sonographic images effectively.
• Present ultrasound images and initial findings to doctors and healthcare teams.
• Maintain detailed patient records and add relevant medical notes about each ultrasound session.
• Identify and document relevant anatomical features and abnormalities using sonographic equipment.
• Ensure proper care and maintenance of sonography machines and report any malfunctions.
• Notify medical staff immediately if abnormalities requiring urgent attention are detected.
• Manage multiple tasks efficiently, exhibiting adaptability within a dynamic clinical environment.
• Demonstrate professionalism, a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic consistently.
• Uphold patient confidentiality with the utmost diligence.
• Operate independently or collaboratively within a team setting as needed.
• Perform patient care activities consistent with the standards set by the Department of Health Abu Dhabi.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• At least 2 to 3 years of practical experience within an Obstetrics, Gynecology, or IVF clinical setting.
• Possession of a valid Department of Health (DOH) Abu Dhabi license as a Radiographer Technologist.
• Excellent communication abilities and strong interpersonal skills.
