Job description
Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Radiographer committed to delivering exceptional patient care and producing high-quality diagnostic imaging to join our approachable and energetic team at Royal Hampshire County Hospital.
Equipment and Responsibilities
Currently, the department is undergoing a replacement programme for X-ray equipment, offering an excellent prospect to be involved in the launch phase. The role will involve performing general, trauma, and fluoroscopic radiographic examinations strictly following departmental guidelines to ensure excellence in imaging standards.
Team and Work Environment
Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong communication abilities and be comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively within a team. Applicants should be proactive and adaptable to deliver optimal patient care across a service operating 24/7.
Professional Development and Facilities
In return, we provide the chance to become part of a motivated, supportive, and congenial team environment. There are ample opportunities for continuous professional growth, including training in advanced areas such as CT, MRI, DEXA, and Interventional Radiology. Our busy Radiology Department conducts examinations using multiple modalities available at two sites: Royal Hampshire County Hospital and Andover Community Diagnostic Centre.
Organizational Vision and Scope
Our mission is to ensure outstanding care for every patient served across our three hospitals: Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital, Royal Hampshire County Hospital in Winchester, and Andover War Memorial Hospital. We serve a population of about 600,000 in Hampshire and parts of West Berkshire.
Cultural Commitment and Special Services
We strive to foster a culture centered on inclusivity, belonging, ongoing learning, improvement, and excellence. Notably, our trust is one of only two UK centers treating pseudomyxoma peritonei, a rare abdominal cancer, and is a recognized leader in tertiary liver and colorectal cancer treatment.
Organization and Governance
With over 9,000 employees and an annual turnover exceeding 300 million, the Trust operates as a Foundation Trust, accountable to its members through a council of governors representing community interests and shaping future strategies.
