Quantity Surveyor

About the Role

Salam Industries seeks a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join their team located in Doha, Qatar. This opportunity is exclusively open to candidates who are presently residing in Qatar.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop Bill of Quantities (BOQs), cost estimations, and quantity take-offs based on engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Compile tender documentation and assess bids submitted by subcontractors and suppliers.
• Prepare and validate interim payment claims and finalize project accounts.
• Handle project variations, claims, and change order management effectively.
• Track and manage project expenses, budget allocations, and cash flow; regularly report financial status.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and client representatives on commercial aspects.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline is mandatory.
• Minimum of five years’ professional exposure as a Quantity Surveyor, specifically with experience within Qatar’s construction industry.
• Comprehensive understanding of Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS), FIDIC contract procedures, and regional building methodologies.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and quantity take-off tools such as CostX, PlanSwift, or AutoCAD.
• Excellent English communication and negotiation capabilities. Arabic proficiency is advantageous.
• Must be currently based in Qatar, holding a transferable visa or having a No Objection Certificate (NOC) available.
