Position Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Quantity Surveyor to join a premier construction contractor involved in delivering prominent projects across Ireland. This full-time role is based in West Dublin and offers a competitive salary along with benefits.
Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee project cost management from the initial stages through to project completion.
- Develop cost estimates, budgets, and financial forecasts.
- Manage procurement and valuation of subcontractors.
- Conduct negotiations on contract variations and finalize accounts.
- Produce precise commercial and financial reports.
- Identify potential project risks and recognize commercial opportunities.
- Collaborate effectively with Project Managers, Engineers, and Clients throughout project phases.
Candidate Requirements
- A degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management is required.
- A minimum of three years' experience in the construction sector.
- Sound expertise in construction contracts and commercial management practices.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical abilities.
- Possession of a valid full Irish driving licence.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience handling commercial, residential, or industrial construction projects.
- Membership or progression towards membership with SCSI or RICS.
- Familiarity with estimating software tools.
