Job description
Role Overview
An established Irish construction contractor with ongoing projects throughout Munster is looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to support their current engagements in County Cork. This position offers a salary range from €50,000 to €60,000, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive cost estimates and budget plans for various construction projects.
- Manage tender processes, including preparation of bills of quantities and associated contract documents.
- Supervise contract terms to ensure compliance, handling any contractual variations or claims as they arise.
- Conduct frequent site inspections to track project progress and maintain cost control.
- Deliver regular financial reporting and updates to senior management and other relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possession of a level 8 qualification in Quantity Surveying.
- At least three years of professional experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably with exposure to civil engineering projects.
- Competency in industry-standard software such as Cubit and Microsoft Excel.
- In-depth knowledge of current construction contracts, especially within the public sector.
- Strong practical understanding of construction site operations.
- Proven ability to manage time effectively, optimizing productivity to achieve demanding objectives.
