Job description
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a respected PQS and Project Management firm operating throughout Ireland. The successful candidates will be based in Dublin or Galway, working in a hybrid capacity, supporting diverse projects across the region.
Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee the commercial management of projects from initial feasibility and pre-costing phases through to final account settlement.
- Develop detailed cost estimates, prepare tender documents, compile bills of quantities, and produce financial control reports.
- Manage subcontractor procurement processes, oversee variation controls, conduct valuations, and prepare monthly progress reports.
- Engage in value engineering and implement cost optimization strategies throughout the project's development lifecycle.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Possession of a degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management.
- Chartered status with SCSI or RICS is preferred, especially for senior or managerial positions.
- Between two to five years of relevant experience within main contracting, consultancy, or property development sectors.
- Competence in digital measurement tools and Building Information Modelling (BIM) technologies.
