Role Overview
This full-time Quantity Surveyor position based in Jiddah features a hybrid setup allowing partial remote work. The role includes preparing and scrutinizing bills of quantities (BOQs), cost estimates, and tender packages for diverse construction assignments. Daily responsibilities revolve around overseeing project budgets, expense tracking, and aiding cost control across all project phases. Regular preparation of cost reports, assisting with early-stage cost planning, and advising teams on value engineering and contractual risks are key functions. The Quantity Surveyor will work closely with both internal and external parties, review contractors' claims, and ensure projects meet financial objectives and contractual commitments.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proficient in cost control and management to supervise budgets, expenses, and guide financial decisions.
- Experienced in cost planning and reporting, developing cost forecasts and periodic updates for stakeholders.
- Skilled in preparing and reviewing BOQs for tendering and accurate quantity measurement.
- Holds a bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
- Familiarity with standard QS and estimating software, combined with advanced Excel capabilities.
- Knowledgeable of local construction codes, building methods, and contract standards.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to accuracy.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills suited to managing multiple projects in a hybrid work environment.
