Role Overview
As a member of one of Tower’s trading units, a Quantitative Trader / Researcher leverages Tower’s proprietary, highly advanced trading system to develop and implement algorithmic strategies based on market behavior patterns.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and launch algorithmic trading strategies.
- Conduct research focused on high to mid-frequency trading signals (alphas).
- Analyze market data, microstructure, and alternative data sources to identify actionable patterns.
- Build analytical tools and develop data platforms to support pattern analysis.
- Enhance and contribute to libraries used for market data and trading analytics.
- Create, improve, and calibrate exchange simulation models.
Qualifications and Skills
- Possession of a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a comparable STEM field.
- Experience in quantitative trading is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Strong foundation in mathematics and statistical theory.
- Proficient with back-testing and simulation methods as well as statistical analysis techniques such as auto-regression, auto-correlation, and Principal Component Analysis.
- Demonstrated expertise in processing and analyzing large datasets, including tick-level data.
- Knowledge of signal generation and statistical modeling approaches.
- Excellent programming capabilities in Python or C++.
