Quality Inspector

About the Role

We are seeking a Quality Control Engineer to join a reputed export and manufacturing firm located in Ludhiana. This role primarily involves overseeing quality assurance processes in manufacturing, ensuring that components meet stringent standards throughout the production cycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Conducting inspections during production and performing pre-dispatch quality checks.
• Carrying out incoming inspections for raw materials and components.
• Utilizing a variety of precision measuring instruments for accurate quality assessment.
• Applying non-destructive testing techniques such as dye penetrant and magnetic particle inspections.
• Maintaining and documenting reports like pre-dispatch inspection records and non-conformance reports.
• Keeping calibration logs for measuring equipment.
• Using MS Excel and ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Tally) for data entry and reporting.

Required Expertise and Skills

• Strong command of precision measuring devices including vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, dial indicators, profile projectors, bore and thread gauges, coordinate measuring machines, and roughness testers.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes such as machining, forging, sheet metal pressing, welding, and casting.
• Knowledge of quality system tools including QC 7 Tools (cause-effect diagrams, histograms, control charts, Pareto charts, check sheets, scatter diagrams, process flow charts).
• Familiarity with core quality methodologies such as PPAP, APQP, FMEA, SPC, and MSA.

Additional Information

• Qualification: B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience range: 0 to 2 years.
• Monthly salary between 20,000 and 25,000 INR.
