Quality Inspector

About the Role

Velocity Electronics seeks a dedicated Quality Inspector in Singapore to uphold product quality and strengthen operational excellence. This position involves utilizing advanced instruments and techniques to verify that electronic components and associated products meet manufacturer and customer standards objectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform thorough quality inspections on electronic components and related products to enforce compliance with defined standards.
• Apply sophisticated testing tools and methodologies to confirm adherence to customer specifications and quality benchmarks.
• Meticulously document inspection outcomes, supporting evidence, and data in Velocity’s ERP system.
• Capture and maintain photographic proof to support inspection findings and quality documentation.
• Work closely with Quality Managers to ensure accuracy and timeliness of inspections and testing.
• Communicate inspection results effectively to Quality Managers and collaborate as necessary with Sales, Purchasing, and Logistics teams.
• Carry out additional duties as required to back business and operational objectives.

Qualifications and Experience

• Possess ITE or diploma qualifications in electronics engineering or an equivalent field.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in handling electronic components and/or in quality assurance and inspection; fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Knowledgeable in managing electronic components in an Electrostatic Protected Area (EPA).
• Competent in Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
• Basic skills in photography and photo editing.
• Preferred familiarity with fundamental failure analysis techniques, such as decapsulation, solder testing, and simple electrical or functional testing.
