Owing to rapid growth and a global user base numbering in the hundreds of thousands within major organizations, a skilled QA Engineer is sought to enhance delivery efficiency and operational excellence.
Role Overview
The Quality Assurance Engineer will oversee the entire testing lifecycle including planning, designing, executing, analyzing, and reporting. Initially, the focus will be on high-impact manual testing with progressive involvement in creating and refining the automation testing strategy.
Key Responsibilities and Skills
- Over five years of professional experience in software testing.
- Proficient in .NET development environments.
- Expertise in automating web table scenarios such as verifying searches and deleting records.
- Capable of handling frames and iFrames within automation scripts effectively.
- Skilled in managing multiple browser tabs and windows during testing.
- Usage of assertions to verify test outcomes.
- Development of dynamic XPath expressions and implementation of XPath axes including ancestor, following-sibling, and parent.
- Application of Boundary Value Analysis and Equivalence Partitioning techniques in test design.
- Thorough understanding of the defect lifecycle, including detailed defect reporting with reproduction steps, expected vs actual results.
- Execution of operations on controls and capturing their values during automated testing procedures.
Work Environment and Culture
- The position reports directly to a Senior QA or Team Lead in a flat organizational structure encouraging minimal hierarchy.
- Work schedule involves four days on-site in Sydney with Thursday designated as a work-from-home day, emphasizing the importance of face-to-face teamwork.
- High level of autonomy with limited bureaucratic hurdles.
