Quality Assurance Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to join a stealth Web3 startup based in Singapore. The role involves ensuring the quality and reliability of trading platform systems through comprehensive testing activities energized by AI innovations.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute functional, automated, and performance tests on trading platform software components.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance automated test scripts for user interfaces, APIs, and messaging systems such as Kafka and WebSocket.
• Participate or lead the creation of test platforms, automation frameworks, and regression suites to boost testing effectiveness and defect detection.
• Integrate Large Language Models and AI tools to augment testing intelligence, including generating test cases, analyzing faults, and producing reports.
• Collaborate deeply with product and engineering teams to grasp business workflows and design critical regression and end-to-end testing scenarios.
• Support testing efforts for performance, stability, and capacity, alongside establishing and refining quality metrics and indicators.

Candidate Requirements

• Possess a bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related discipline, with over 5 years of software testing experience and at least 2 years in test development.
• Skilled in at least one programming language such as Python or Java, demonstrating good coding standards.
• Experienced in widely-used testing frameworks and tools like Pytest, Playwright/Appium, JMeter, K6, or Locust.
• Have a solid understanding of networking protocols including HTTP, TCP, and WebSocket, and familiarity with trading system structures and financial domain knowledge.
• Experience in creating API automation, regression testing platforms, mock services, or test data management systems is advantageous.
• Strong communication abilities, effective collaboration skills, excellent problem-solving and summarization capabilities, and a dedicated quality ownership mindset.
• Proficient in utilizing AI-based tools such as Copilot, ChatGPT, or Cursor to enhance testing efficiency and insight.
• Bonus: prior exposure to prediction markets or trading exchange environments.
