About the Role
The Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer will collaborate closely with Product, Software Development, and Project teams to guarantee that Krystal Digital's software products are reliable, secure, and meet both business and user expectations. Responsibilities include performing manual tests, identifying defects, conducting regression testing, validating APIs and databases, as well as undertaking quality audits and enhancing processes. This role is crucial for early detection of issues, elevating product quality, and delivering robust technology solutions that instill customer trust and foster business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality standards are met.
- Execute manual testing encompassing functional, integration, system, and user acceptance tests.
- Identify and document various software defects and inconsistencies.
- Perform regression testing to verify resolved issues and prevent new bugs.
- Validate APIs and database content to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Conduct quality audits and contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Possession of a Bachelor's Degree; professional QA/testing certifications such as ISTQB or Six Sigma are advantageous.
- Between 2 and 4 years of experience in Quality Assurance or Software Testing roles.
- Proven skill in executing diverse manual testing methods.
- Knowledge or keen interest in financial technology, including payment systems, transfers, and banking workflows.
- Strong analytical abilities with a detail-oriented approach to problem solving.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for clear defect reporting and team interaction.
- Experience using test management and defect tracking solutions like Jira and TestRail.
- Hands-on experience testing APIs, especially with tools such as Postman.
- Basic proficiency in SQL for performing database validations.
- Understanding of modern software development lifecycles and agile practices.
- Experience with quality auditing and management focusing on quality system establishment and enhancement.
