Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated QA Tester to join our QA team at our Bangalore studio. This permanent, on-site position involves testing video games, locating and documenting bugs efficiently, and collaborating closely with Designers, Artists, and Programmers to enhance game quality and player experience. The role reports to the Lead QA and plays a vital part in the development lifecycle to ensure polished game releases.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate as part of a project team to rigorously test designated game titles.
• Conduct thorough testing to identify any issues before game releases.
• Create detailed, high-quality bug reports with clear descriptions, precise reproduction steps, and severity assessments.
• Log bugs in a tracking database, assign them to appropriate development team members, and follow up to guarantee resolution.
• Collaborate with Designers, Artists, and Programmers by suggesting enhancements and changes to improve the overall gaming experience.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills enabling efficient identification of bugs and issues in games.
• Excellent command of English for clear and concise communication of identified problems.
• A scientific, methodical, and analytical approach toward testing procedures.
• Familiarity with hardware and software aspects of PC, console, and mobile platforms.
• Passionate about gaming and related technologies.
• Proficiency in spreadsheet applications, MS Office tools, PC usage, and internet navigation.
• Ability to work cooperatively within a team environment.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing project demands and adherence to shift schedules as required.
