Role Overview

The QA Technician plays a vital role within an elite team that champions excellent execution and delivers critical solutions supporting AI, cloud computing, and enterprise data centers. This position’s key focus is maintaining the orderliness, upkeep, and aesthetic quality of the facilities, especially customer areas including common spaces, data floors, building exteriors, and perimeter zones.

Key Responsibilities

• Support general facility upkeep and maintenance tasks, including floor repairs (carpet, VCT, Gerflor tiles), wall repairs with patching, texturing, and painting, baseboard and corner guard fixes.
• Replace bulbs inside and outside T-SCIFs, ensuring all areas meet Switch's standards.
• Handle materials and installations as required and set up client cages following company protocols.
• Conduct regular audits of client cages and assist in facility cleanliness monitoring.
• Ensure T-SCIF areas remain clean and organized per defined space management guidelines.
• Coordinate with the warehouse for stock deliveries and operate basic warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
• Occasionally support facility maintenance activities as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Experience with facility organization and spatial layout planning.
• Proficiency in dimensional measurement techniques.
• Ability to interpret schematics related to spatial arrangements.
• Exceptional attention to detail, presentation, and customer service capabilities.
• Strong problem-solving skills with initiative and sound judgment.
• Excellent time management, capable of working independently or collaboratively.
• Effective communication skills for engaging with team members, management, and clients.
• At least two years’ experience in production, facilities management, mechanical maintenance, or a related discipline.
• Capability to work both indoors and outdoors, following environmental safety standards.
• Physical ability to frequently lift/move up to 20 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds, stand, walk, bend, use hands for tasks, carry supplies, operate power tools, work on ladders, and maintain close and distance vision.
