Job description
Job Overview
The position involves overseeing quality control efforts within a production environment to guarantee that products adhere to established quality standards.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage quality control operations on the production floor.
- Ensure that finished products comply with predefined quality benchmarks.
- Coordinate production execution according to planned schedules.
- Plan raw material requirements and manage inventory, including supplier follow-up.
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers to design customized process devices based on basic mechanical knowledge.
- Prepare and submit monthly production summary reports to the Head of Department.
- Conduct training sessions for quality inspectors to enhance their capabilities.
- Create and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as needed.
- Communicate quality related concerns with production teams.
- Maintain regular calibration schedules for measuring and testing equipment.
- Manage ISO and Environmental Management System (EMS) documentation.
- Apply knowledge of 5S methodology and workplace safety standards.
- Implement and utilize quality tools such as PPAP, 8D, CAPA, ISO 9001, and IATF 16949 standards.
- Perform inspections and testing of incoming raw materials, in-process items, and final products.
- Identify and report defects or deviations and drive corrective actions to resolution.
Qualifications and Skills
Applicants should possess a strong understanding of quality control processes and relevant quality standards, with mechanical aptitude and experience in production environments.
