Role Overview
This position is for experienced QA Engineers skilled in both Manual and Automation Testing, specifically using Playwright automation framework. Candidates should have proven experience delivering testing solutions for live customer projects, primarily focused on web applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and analyze both business and technical requirements to design detailed test scenarios.
- Develop, prepare, and execute test cases, scripts, and comprehensive test plans.
- Conduct diverse testing types including functional, regression, integration, system, and end-to-end tests.
- Identify and document defects promptly and manage their lifecycle until resolution.
- Create and maintain automated test scripts utilizing Playwright and run automated test suites.
- Recognize test cases appropriate for automation and enhance Playwright frameworks accordingly.
- Validate application behavior across multiple web browsers and environments.
- Perform backend and API validations as necessary.
- Collaborate with development teams to diagnose and address issues.
- Engage in requirement review meetings offering QA insights.
- Evaluate testing outcomes and compile detailed reports.
- Support validation during release cycles and production deployments.
- Actively participate in Agile Scrum processes ensuring timely delivery and quality adherence.
- Maintain high standards to meet customer and business quality needs.
Mandatory Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of 6 years professional experience in Software Quality Assurance and Testing.
- Strong proficiency in Manual Testing methodologies and practices.
- Demonstrated expertise in Automation Testing, specifically with Playwright automation tool.
- Solid experience in designing and executing thorough test cases.
- Comprehensive knowledge of functional and regression testing.
- Experience managing defect tracking and resolution procedures.
- In-depth understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Hands-on experience working on real-time customer-facing software projects.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Preferred Additional Skills
- Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript programming languages.
- Familiarity with API testing and tools like Postman.
- Ability to perform SQL queries for database verification.
- Experience with CI/CD processes and version control systems such as Git.
- Prior exposure to Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Knowledge of Selenium or Cypress automation tools is advantageous.
