QA Automation Engineer - Java

Role Overview

We are seeking a QA Automation Engineer proficient in Java to enhance our testing frameworks and processes. The role involves analyzing user stories, designing manual and automated test cases, and executing comprehensive testing across web, API, backend, integration, and regression domains. You will validate various API response elements and work closely with defect management and quality metrics communication.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret user stories to craft effective manual and automated test cases.
• Build and sustain robust automation frameworks and scripts.
• Conduct thorough Web, API, Backend, Integration, and Regression Testing.
• Validate API responses including response times, error codes, XML/JSON payloads, and authentication methods.
• Evaluate test outcomes, identify defects, and report quality measures.
• Identify project risks and propose mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate on test planning, estimation, and defect resolution activities.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

• A solid 5-8 years of experience in Manual and Automation Testing.
• Proficient in Java programming with a strong grasp of OOP concepts.
• Hands-on expertise with automation tools such as Selenium, Rest Assured, Postman, TestNG/JUnit, and Testim.
• Extensive knowledge of API testing, RESTful services, and backend validation techniques.
• Deep understanding of HTTP methods (GET, POST, PUT, DELETE, etc.).
• Experience working with GitHub, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, and managing CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong skills in SQL for database validations.
• Comfortable operating within Linux/Unix environments.
• Experience with JSON/XML payload validations and OAuth/OAuth2 authentication.
• Familiar with Jira and Agile development methodologies.
• Demonstrated excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication capabilities.

Preferred Profile

• Experience or familiarity with DNS, RDDS, RDAP, EPP, Registry-Registrar models, or domain name industry specifics.
• Knowledge or exposure to Spring Integration, Apache Camel, or related integration frameworks.
• Ability to take lead roles in test planning, estimation, and management of complex product testing cycles.
