Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Python Developer specialized in FastAPI, Django, and MySQL to design, build, and maintain high-performance Python applications and RESTful APIs. This role involves collaborating closely with product and engineering teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and develop Python-based applications, microservices, and APIs using FastAPI and Django frameworks.
- Work alongside cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver robust software solutions.
- Design efficient data models and optimize database interactions with MySQL for performance and scalability.
- Produce clean, maintainable, and testable code adhering to industry coding standards.
- Enhance application performance to handle high traffic while ensuring a smooth user experience.
- Integrate external APIs and third-party services to extend application functionality.
- Perform comprehensive testing and debugging to identify and fix software issues.
- Implement best security practices for data protection and user authentication mechanisms.
- Collaborate with DevOps to deploy and monitor applications in production environments.
- Mentor junior developers and promote knowledge sharing within the team.
- Stay current with advancements in Python, FastAPI, Django, and related technologies, proposing improvements where applicable.
- Maintain thorough documentation of code, design choices, and development workflows.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience as a Python Developer with strong expertise in FastAPI and Django frameworks.
- Deep understanding of MySQL including database design, optimization, and query tuning.
- Hands-on experience building and using RESTful APIs and web services.
- Proficiency with Git version control for collaborative software development.
- Basic knowledge of front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to coordinate with front-end developers.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development practices.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with strong communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail in solution design.
- Experience with container technologies like Docker and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) is advantageous.
- Commitment to continuous learning and self-development in relevant technologies.
