Python Developer

Role Overview

We are seeking an inquisitive and motivated Python Developer to become part of our expanding team at Heads Up For Tails. You will be instrumental in developing and refining our custom ERP solutions that support various business operations including supply chain management and customer interactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop clean, maintainable, and performant Python code for backend applications
• Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs
• Optimize existing features, troubleshoot issues, and enhance system performance
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to resolve challenges and deliver new capabilities
• Engage in code reviews and adopt best coding practices
• Manage and utilize databases such as PostgreSQL for data storage and retrieval

Qualifications and Skills

• Between one and five years of professional experience in Python programming
• Strong grasp of data structures and problem-solving techniques
• Experience with backend development involving API creation and database management
• Basic proficiency in JavaScript, particularly with the OWL framework, to assist in frontend development as needed
• Eagerness to continuously learn and thrive in a dynamic work environment
• Effective communication and ability to work well within a team
• Experience with startups or product-based companies is advantageous but not required
• Knowledge of Odoo framework and Point-of-Sale customization using OWL JS framework is beneficial but optional
• Understanding of inventory management, manufacturing processes, sales/purchase, and POS systems is desirable
