Python Developer

Role Overview

This position involves contributing to the design, development, and maintenance of advanced software solutions utilizing Python. The focus lies in building microservices, RESTful APIs, event-driven architectures, and incorporating emerging artificial intelligence technologies. The role demands collaboration with senior technical staff and business partners to deliver scalable, secure, and compliant applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, test, and support Python applications and services.
• Develop and sustain REST APIs, microservices, and event-driven integration workflows.
• Engage in development of Agentic AI workflows and components enabled by MCP technology.
• Integrate AI models with enterprise and business systems.
• Build reusable components adhering to enterprise engineering frameworks.
• Participate in full software lifecycle: design, coding, testing, deployment, and support.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and operational controls to ensure services reliability.
• Contribute to automation processes, continuous integration/delivery pipelines, and testing.
• Work with messaging and event streaming technologies to enable asynchronous processing.
• Collaborate closely with business and technical teams to gather and analyze requirements and design technical solutions.
• Support troubleshooting, performance optimization, and application enhancements.
• Document technical designs, implementation details, and operational practices.
• Ensure compliance with security, governance, and risk management policies.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related STEM discipline.
• Minimum of three years developing applications using Python.
• Hands-on experience building RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
• Familiarity with event-driven design and message streaming platforms.
• Proficiency with Python web frameworks such as FastAPI or Flask.
• Experience in working with SQL and database technologies.
• Knowledge of version control systems, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing methodologies.
• Comfortable working in Linux environments.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within diverse teams.

Preferred Experience

• Exposure to Agentic AI frameworks, MCP technologies, large language models (LLMs), and Generative AI solutions.
• Experience with Kafka, MQ, or similar event-streaming platforms.
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and containerization technologies.
• Background in banking, risk management, or financial services sectors.
• Understanding of distributed systems, system monitoring, and observability practices.

Education

Candidate should possess a Bachelor's or University degree in a STEM-related area, with advanced degrees considered an advantage.
