Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and sustain scalable backend applications, services, and APIs using Python.
• Work closely with cross-disciplinary teams such as frontend developers, DevOps professionals, and product managers to gather and interpret requirements, delivering robust backend solutions.
• Write efficient, maintainable, and reusable code adhering to best practices and software design patterns.
• Enhance application performance focusing on speed, scalability, and security.
• Integrate external third-party APIs and services to support the business features.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and update existing software systems for sustained functionality.
• Implement automated testing frameworks and unit tests to ensure high-quality, reliable code.
• Engage in code reviews and contribute to continual enhancement of development methodologies.
• Keep current with emerging Python libraries, frameworks, and backend technologies to stay on the cutting edge.

Qualifications and Skills Required

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• More than 4 years of practical experience in backend development primarily using Python.
• Proficient with Python frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Experienced with RESTful API development, asynchronous programming paradigms, and microservices.
• Familiarity with both relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis).
• Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design.
• Knowledge of version control tools like Git, CI/CD workflows, and containerization with Docker.
• Optional but advantageous: experience with cloud services like AWS, Azure, or GCP; and message brokers like RabbitMQ or Kafka.
• Excellent problem-solving capacity combined with meticulous attention to detail.
• Bonus skills include proficiency in testing frameworks such as PyTest or UnitTest.
