About the Role
We are seeking a proficient Python Developer with strong AWS cloud experience to join a leading financial institution. This permanent full-time position is based in Melbourne CBD with a hybrid working arrangement requiring 2-3 days onsite weekly. The salary range for this role is $90,000 to $115,000 per year plus superannuation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize high-performance financial applications using Python.
- Utilize AWS services including Lambda, S3, RDS, and EC2 to create scalable cloud-based financial systems.
- Integrate APIs with third-party financial data providers and manage financial data connections.
- Handle both SQL and NoSQL databases, specifically PostgreSQL, MySQL, and DynamoDB.
- Implement cloud automation and optimize application performance ensuring security and scalability.
Candidate Requirements
- Between 3 to 5 years of hands-on Python development experience, preferably within the financial services sector.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of AWS services such as Lambda, S3, EC2, and RDS.
- Bonus: Experience with financial services platforms, including trading systems or investment platforms.
- Experience working with RESTful APIs and real-time financial data integrations.
- Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL database management concerning financial data.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, cloud automation tools, and version control systems like Git.
