Job description
Role Overview and Responsibilities
This position requires a proficient Python developer to design and build backend components and web services. Candidates will be expected to develop RESTful APIs, work extensively with Python frameworks like Django, Flask, or FastAPI, and manage database integration with SQL and ORM tools.
- Develop applications using Python programming language.
- Implement and maintain RESTful APIs and web services.
- Utilize Python frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI proficiently.
- Interact with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) using SQL and ORM frameworks including SQLAlchemy or Django ORM.
- Adhere to software development life cycle processes and apply agile methodologies.
- Maintain version control using Git and ensure code quality through unit testing and debugging.
Required Skills
- Strong command of Python coding practices.
- Experience with Python web frameworks (Django, Flask, FastAPI).
- Knowledge of REST API development.
- Proficiency in SQL and relational database management.
- Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming principles.
- Familiarity with version control tools, specifically Git.
- Experience with ORM frameworks for database interaction.
- Application of unit testing frameworks and debugging techniques.
- Understanding Agile SDLC methodologies.
Preferred Technical Expertise
- Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Exposure to NoSQL databases including MongoDB and Redis.
- Experience with message queuing systems like RabbitMQ or Kafka.
- Understanding of microservices architecture.
- Basic familiarity with front-end JavaScript frameworks such as React or Angular.
Educational Requirements
Candidates should hold a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
