About the Role
Kavi India Software Technologies is recruiting an experienced Python Backend Developer with 5 to 7 years of professional experience. The ideal candidate must possess advanced proficiency in Python, demonstrating capability in building scalable, secure, and high-performance enterprise-grade applications. This role demands expertise in creating RESTful APIs, web applications, and backend services using current Python frameworks, alongside a solid grasp of software architecture, testing strategies, performance tuning, security, and cloud-native development.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce clean, maintainable, and scalable code predominantly using Python.
- Construct web applications and RESTful APIs leveraging frameworks like FastAPI, Django, or Flask.
- Apply established development tools and adhere to best practices involving Python, SQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Git, and REST APIs.
- Architect technical interfaces and develop application designs and software specifications.
- Document technical details comprehensively through all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Maintain and troubleshoot Python applications by addressing defects and optimizing performance.
- Create unit, integration, and automated tests ensuring high-quality deliverables.
- Improve existing software by analyzing business needs, drafting implementation plans, and suggesting enhancements.
- Monitor live application health and provide necessary production support.
- Engage in peer code reviews to ensure quality and conformity to coding standards.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Owners, QA teams, DevOps, and frontend developers.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- 5 to 7 years of professional experience in Python application development.
- Demonstrated background as a Python Developer or backend application engineer.
- Hands-on experience with Python web frameworks such as FastAPI, Django, or Flask.
- Working knowledge of ORM tools like SQLAlchemy or Django ORM.
- Understanding of authentication and authorization protocols including OAuth2, JWT, LDAP, and SSO.
- Experience with API documentation technologies such as Swagger or OpenAPI.
- Proficient problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in unit testing frameworks like PyTest or UnitTest.
Preferred Qualifications
A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent technical domain is preferred.
