Purchasing Executive

Overview

Ondoor Concept Ltd. is seeking a seasoned Purchase Executive with over 5 years of experience in the FMCG, Retail, E-commerce, or Distribution sectors. The role is based in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh and involves comprehensive procurement responsibilities including vendor management, sourcing, and price negotiations.

Core Responsibilities

• Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing vendors and suppliers.
• Identify and onboard new vendors from areas such as Indore, Gwalior, and other cities.
• Source products or materials aligned with business needs.
• Conduct negotiations on pricing, payment conditions, credit periods, and delivery terms.
• Prepare and manage Purchase Orders and monitor their status.
• Ensure timely receipt of materials by tracking pending orders.
• Collaborate effectively with vendors, warehouse, operations, and finance departments.
• Troubleshoot issues related to quality, shortages, delays, and billing discrepancies.
• Keep abreast of market pricing to explore cost-saving measures.
• Maintain thorough documentation including vendor information, quotations, pricing data, and purchase records.
• Guarantee uninterrupted availability of materials supporting daily procurement activities.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement or purchase functions.
• Prior experience within FMCG or Retail industries preferred.
• Proficiency in vendor management and negotiation techniques.
• Strong market insight and skills in supplier sourcing.
• Effective communication, follow-up, and coordination capabilities.
• Working knowledge of MS Excel or Google Sheets; familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.
• Willingness to travel to supplier markets as needed.

Additional Information

• Position is full-time and requires presence at the Bhopal office.
• Monthly salary range is ₹20,000 to ₹30,000.
