Job Description
Accor is seeking a Purchase Manager to oversee and optimize procurement operations. This role involves developing and executing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring cost-effectiveness and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement, excellent negotiation skills, and a keen eye for detail to drive efficiency and support organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive procurement policies, procedures, and strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
- Forecast procurement needs in collaboration with department heads for timely sourcing of goods and services.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and contractors.
- Manage purchasing systems, ensuring accurate maintenance of purchase orders, supplier information, pricing, and contract terms.
- Address and resolve delivery discrepancies, pricing variances, and supplier invoice issues promptly.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms to achieve optimal value, quality, and service.
- Identify and evaluate new suppliers and products to improve quality, efficiency, sustainability, and innovation.
- Support sustainability and responsible sourcing by identifying local, ethical, and environmentally conscious suppliers.
- Monitor and analyze procurement budgets, track expenditures, and implement cost-control measures.
- Collaborate with Finance and Operations teams to optimize spending and ensure financial compliance.
- Oversee inventory control, stock levels, and reorder points to prevent shortages or excess stock.
- Mitigate risks associated with supplier reliability, quality, delivery, and supply chain disruptions.
- Maintain accurate documentation, contracts, and records for auditing and reporting.
- Prepare detailed reports on procurement activities, supplier performance, cost savings, and efficiency for executive review.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as required to support organizational objectives.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management with a track record of delivering results.
- Proficiency in using procurement and inventory management systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional demeanor.
- Advanced negotiation skills to secure favorable terms and conditions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency in data analysis and financial acumen for budget management and cost optimization.
- Solid understanding of procurement policies, compliance, and regulatory standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in managing supplier relationships and evaluating vendors.
- Familiarity with food safety, traceability, and quality assurance standards.
- Experience in leading and developing procurement teams.
- Knowledge of sustainability and responsible sourcing practices.
- Relevant certifications in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field.

This role is based in the Greater Vijayawada District and requires a full-time, onsite presence.
