Job Overview
Join Hilton as a Purchase Manager where your role will be vital in crafting purchasing strategies that secure supply stability and cost-effectiveness. Your work impacts guest experiences by ensuring top-quality goods and services, resonating the warmth and hospitality Hilton is known for.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct procurement activities including purchasing and inventory management to maintain appropriate stocks of general merchandise.
- Collaborate closely with chefs and hotel leadership to tailor purchases aligning with the hotel's operational requirements.
- Build and nurture supplier partnerships, negotiate prices, place orders, and monitor timely delivery of products.
- Conduct quality checks for shipments to verify compliance with the orders, quality benchmarks, and grading standards.
- Lead and develop the purchasing team by overseeing performance, offering coaching, and encouraging a constructive work atmosphere.
- Identify supply chain risks, including disruptions and price variability, ensuring compliance and risk mitigation.
- Analyze market trends to forecast pricing changes and supply conditions to guide strategic purchasing decisions.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Hospitality, or a related discipline.
- At least five years of procurement or purchasing experience, preferably within the hotel or hospitality sector.
- Demonstrated expertise in sourcing, negotiating, and managing supplier relationships focused on quality and cost-efficiency.
- Strong knowledge of inventory control, stock management, and procurement software systems.
- Experience managing budgets, performing cost analyses, and monitoring purchasing outcomes.
- Up-to-date understanding of local procurement laws, health and safety regulations, and sustainability protocols.
- Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Flexibility to operate efficiently in a dynamic, fast-moving environment.
- Commitment to compliance with laws, regulations, and ethical standards of the hotel.
