About the Role
We seek a Purchase Executive capable of autonomously handling procurement activities, from vendor sourcing to product quality verification. The candidate must be proactive, detail-oriented, and skilled at forging strong vendor relationships while ensuring timely and cost-effective purchasing.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and source dependable vendors from throughout India.
- Oversee the entire purchase process, from enquiry to final procurement.
- Evaluate quotations and negotiate pricing and commercial terms.
- Coordinate with vendors to assure punctual delivery.
- Perform basic inspections of product quality before procurement approval.
- Collaborate closely with operations and warehouse teams.
- Maintain records such as vendor databases, quotations, and purchase logs.
- Discover new suppliers and enhance overall procurement efficiency.
- Balance quality, price, and delivery timing effectively.
Required Skills and Experience
- At least 1 year of experience dedicated to purchase or procurement.
- Strong practical knowledge and mandatory familiarity with IndiaMART.
- Competency in using TradeIndia platform.
- Excellent skills in vendor coordination and price negotiation.
- Ability to independently evaluate product quality.
- Proficient communication skills in both Hindi and English.
- Organizational abilities and effective follow-up skills.
- Adaptability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills
- Experience sourcing products via Alibaba.
- Understanding of the supplier ecosystem in China and import procurement processes.
- Experience in wholesale supplier sourcing.
