Job Overview
The Purchase Engineer is responsible for managing material requirements and vendor sourcing to optimize costs and ensure supply quality at Vijaya Enterprises, Mumbai.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze material needs and identify appropriate vendors for procurement.
- Source suppliers effectively aiming to minimize material costs.
- Resolve technical questions raised by vendors through organized meetings.
- Conduct negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable pricing and manage Requests for Offer (RFO), Information (RFI), and Proposal (RFP).
- Evaluate supplier quotes and prepare comparative analysis for decision-making.
- Develop and onboard new vendors to expand supply options.
- Handle sourcing of raw materials including plates, forgings, and rotary components such as motors, bearings, and compressors.
- Collaborate with the estimation team to optimize material costs, thereby aiding in obtaining valuable contracts.
