Job Summary

The role involves managing procurement processes, coordinating with vendors, and planning inventory to ensure materials are acquired efficiently and timely while keeping costs under control.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and evaluate suppliers of industrial automation components.
• Create purchase orders and oversee timely procurement of required materials.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery timelines with vendors.
• Collaborate with stores, accounts, and project teams to determine material needs.
• Maintain vendor data, price histories, and purchase records using ERP or CRM software.
• Monitor inventory levels and schedule purchases to prevent shortages or delivery delays.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and quality standards during procurement.
• Follow up with suppliers regarding dispatch, delivery, and invoice procedures.
• Prepare and present purchase reports and management information system (MIS) data for leadership review.

Qualifications & Skills

• Graduate or Diploma holder in Commerce, Business Administration, or Engineering.
• 1 to 2 years of purchase or procurement experience preferred.
• Familiarity with industrial automation products such as PLCs, VFDs, SCADA, and HMIs is desirable.
• Strong command of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Experience using ERP or CRM systems for managing purchases.
• Excellent verbal and written communication along with negotiation capabilities.
• Capability to handle multiple vendors and meet tight deadlines.

Preferred Expertise

• Experience procuring electrical or industrial automation products.
• Understanding of commercial terms, taxation, and regulatory compliance.
• Skills in vendor development and maintaining supplier relationships.
