Overview

The Public Relations Officer (PRO) spearheads the administration of all employee visa, immigration, labour, and government-related activities within the UAE. This role focuses on ensuring precise and prompt processing of employment visas, work permits, Emirates IDs, along with renewals and cancellations, while strictly adhering to UAE labour and immigration regulations.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Oversee comprehensive employment visa lifecycle including entry permits, status adjustments, medical procedures, Emirates ID issuance, and residency.
  • Handle work permits, labour contracts, visa renewals, contract amendments, and cancellations efficiently.
  • Submit and manage applications via key governmental portals such as MOHRE, GDRFA, ICP, among others.
  • Coordinate with government entities, including Amer, Tasheel, Tawjeeh, and other service centers when necessary.
  • Monitor expiry dates for visas, work permits, and Emirates IDs to guarantee timely renewals.
  • Authenticate employee documents and manage attestations, translations, and any related compliance requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records related to visas and immigration and continuously update HR departments.
  • Facilitate visa needs during recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, and HR operations.
  • Address and resolve visa-related complications, including application rejections and processing delays, by liaising with relevant authorities.
  • Continuously update knowledge on evolving UAE labour, visa, and immigration laws to ensure compliance.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Possess 2 to 4 years of applicable UAE experience in roles such as Public Relations Officer, Visa Officer, Immigration Officer, or related positions.
  • Strong understanding of UAE employment visa, immigration processes, and labour laws.
  • Practical experience working with UAE government systems including MOHRE, GDRFA, and ICP.
  • High organisational capability with notable attention to detail.
  • Adept at managing multiple concurrent applications and meeting strict deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills and problem-solving aptitude.
  • Proficient in English communication, both verbal and written; knowledge of Arabic is desirable.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office software, particularly Excel.
