About the Organisation

The City Palace Museum in Jaipur stands as one of India's leading palace museums, featuring buildings and collections of national significance that play a key role in the history of northern and central India. The Trust’s mission is to safeguard, promote, and maintain the Museum’s valuable collections for the benefit of Jaipur residents as well as visitors nationally and internationally.

Position Summary

The Public Relations Executive will be entrusted with enhancing and managing the public image of the City Palace Museum and its affiliated brands through both conventional and digital media channels. This role requires building solid relationships with the media, journalists, influencers, and other important stakeholders to secure media coverage that highlights the organisation’s rich heritage and cultural value. Ideal candidates will demonstrate confident communication, excellent editorial judgement, the ability to create engaging narratives, and a proactive approach to elevating the Museum’s visibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and nurture connections with journalists, editors, and media houses across print, broadcast, and online platforms.
  • Prepare and disseminate press releases, media kits, and statements in coordination with the Marketing & Communications department.
  • Proactively suggest story ideas and features to pertinent media outlets and spot chances for earned media coverage in news, lifestyle, culture, and heritage sectors.
  • Maintain and regularly update a comprehensive database of media contacts.
  • Engage with digital creators, bloggers, and influencers who align with the Museum’s ethos and aesthetics, managing collaborations accordingly.
  • Organise influencer visits, collaborative content creation, and partnerships to align with campaign objectives and brand standards.
  • Track online coverage, mentions, and digital PR results across platforms to assess impact.
  • Create and refine a variety of communication materials, such as press releases, media pitches, talking points, opinion pieces, and briefing documents for spokespeople.
  • Support PR activities during institutional events, exhibitions, launches, and public programmes, including media coordination and onsite management.
  • Assist in arranging press previews, media walkthroughs, and journalist interactions, liaising with related teams.
  • Monitor media coverage, compile clipping reports and analytics, and evaluate PR effectiveness and share of voice.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, competitor actions, and emerging PR opportunities pertinent to the cultural and heritage field.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mass Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or a relevant discipline.
  • At least 2 to 3 years of professional experience in a Public Relations role, preferably within cultural, heritage, hospitality, luxury, or lifestyle industries.
  • Proven track record in managing media relations and executing PR campaigns across both traditional and digital platforms.
  • Possession of an established media network within pertinent publications and media channels is advantageous.
  • Experience in coordinating partnerships with influencers or content creators is preferred.

Required Skills & Attributes

  • Outstanding writing and speaking abilities, adept at developing engaging stories reflective of a premium heritage brand.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with confidence to act as the organisation's representative in media and stakeholder engagements.
  • Self-motivated and resourceful, capable of identifying and capitalising on PR opportunities independently.
  • Well-organised with strong attention to detail and the capacity to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Good understanding of the digital media environment and comfortable interacting with social media, online publications, and influencer communities.
  • Proficiency in both English and Hindi languages.
