Role Overview
We are seeking a Public Affairs Specialist to manage engagement with policy makers, internal stakeholders, and the broader public on topics affecting our organization. This position requires both a keen understanding of policy frameworks and exceptional communication skills to effectively represent our company's stance in policy discussions.
Key Responsibilities
- Keep track of relevant legislative, regulatory, and policy developments impacting the business sector.
- Develop and sustain relationships with policymakers, regulators, and other key stakeholders.
- Produce clear and concise policy briefs, official position papers, and communications tailored for stakeholders.
- Organize and manage company participation in hearings, conferences, and public forums related to policy.
- Collaborate closely with legal, communications, and product teams regarding regulatory matters.
- Regularly monitor and report on the progress and outcomes of public affairs initiatives.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of three years’ experience in public affairs, government relations, or policy management.
- In-depth knowledge of the legislative and regulatory process.
- Exceptional writing ability, especially in policy documentation.
- Pre-existing connections with relevant policy actors are advantageous.
- Experience engaging stakeholders and building coalitions effectively.
- Bachelor’s degree in political science, public policy, or a related field is required.
