Job Summary
As a Proposal Coordinator, you will play a key role in preparing and submitting detailed, high-quality proposals and bid packages for construction projects that vary in scale. You will collaborate with estimators, project managers, and technical experts to collect vital information, draft persuasive and compliant content, and oversee proposal timelines and standards to ensure timely, professional submissions.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the compilation and development of proposals, bid packages, and prequalification documentation.
- Create clear, engaging, and compliant documents responding to RFPs, RFQs, and similar solicitations.
- Work closely with project teams to devise proposal strategies and gather necessary data.
- Enhance proposal presentations by adding visuals such as graphics and charts for professionalism and clarity.
- Manage deadlines and schedules to guarantee on-time delivery of proposals.
- Ensure all materials uphold company quality and branding standards.
- Proofread and edit proposals to maintain consistency, completeness, and adherence to requirements.
- Continuously refine proposal processes and templates to improve efficiency and quality.
Qualifications and Experience
- Post-secondary education in Engineering (Heavy Civil, Mechanical, Electrical) or related fields is advantageous.
- Experience in construction management and technical writing is beneficial.
- At least 3 years of experience in proposal writing or estimating within industrial, construction, or engineering sectors.
- Strong familiarity with estimating techniques, cost control, and project management concepts.
- Excellent writing, editing, and communication abilities with great attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and estimating software.
- Effective multitasking skills to manage tight deadlines and competing priorities.
- Robust analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience in construction, mining, infrastructure, mechanical, or electrical projects is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to lead proposal development and coordinate teams effectively.
