A reputed South East law firm is seeking a skilled Property Litigation Solicitor to join its well-established Real Estate Dispute Resolution team based in Brighton. Key Responsibilities

The position involves managing a diverse range of real estate dispute cases, providing advice to both commercial and private clients on contentious property issues. The scope of work includes:

• Handling landlord and tenant disputes
• Managing lease renewals alongside rent reviews
• Enforcing lease terms
• Overseeing possession claims and rent recovery
• Resolving disputes over boundaries, rights of way, and easements
• Addressing restrictive covenant issues
• Managing nuisance claims
• Dealing with residential lease extensions and leaseholder disputes
• Handling matters related to the Building Safety Act
• Engaging in broader commercial and residential property litigation

The team prioritizes commercially pragmatic solutions for dispute resolution, taking a robust approach to litigation when necessary.

About the Team

The Real Estate Dispute Resolution department holds a Band 2 ranking from Chambers and a Tier 1 ranking from Legal 500. It comprises specialist lawyers dealing with a wide array of commercial and residential property disputes. The team enjoys close collaboration with the wider Real Estate and Planning groups, fostering cross-referral and cooperative opportunities.

Candidate Profile

• Qualified solicitor with preferably over 2 years of post-qualification experience (PQE)
• Extensive experience in property litigation and real estate disputes
• Capable of independently managing cases and engaging directly with clients
• Strong background in landlord and tenant matters or wider property disputes
• Commercially oriented with a pragmatic legal advisory style
• Excellent communication and strong client relationship management skills
• Motivated to grow within an established and expanding specialist team
