Prompt Engineer

Role Overview

As a Prompt Engineer, you will be responsible for crafting, testing, and refining prompts tailored for various large language models that power both internal tools and AI-driven educational features for students.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, test, and improve prompts targeted at large language models to enhance both backend tools and student interactions.
• Collaborate closely with educational content creators to produce high-quality AI-generated learning materials including quizzes and summaries.
• Create and maintain effective system-level prompts for an "AI Tutor" that delivers accurate, safe, and pedagogically appropriate responses.
• Detect and address edge cases and inaccuracies (hallucinations) in AI-generated outputs by continuously refining prompt strategies.
• Document successful prompt designs and establish best practice guidelines for the team.

Desired Qualifications

• Strong interest and practical experience with popular consumer AI applications such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Midjourney.
• Excellent command of written language with attention to tone, context, and clarity.
• Familiarity with fundamental prompt engineering methods including Few-Shot Prompting and Chain of Thought reasoning.
• Analytical skills to rigorously test AI responses and improve prompt effectiveness.
• Basic programming skills, such as Python or API usage knowledge, considered advantageous but not mandatory.
