About The Role
George Street offers an 8-bed supported accommodation for young individuals aged 16 to 18 transitioning out of care. This service assists these young adults in enhancing their independence, acquiring life skills, and preparing for a smooth passage into adulthood.
This position is ideal for candidates motivated to work with youth and gain experience in Leaving Care Services.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist young people in building self-reliance and self-assurance.
- Deliver individualized guidance related to education, employment, well-being, and essential life skills.
- Foster positive connections and motivate young people towards achieving their aspirations.
- Collaborate with team members and partner organizations to ensure comprehensive support.
- Obtain experience within a specialized leaving care environment.
Qualifications and Skills
A solid background working with vulnerable populations and understanding their challenges is crucial.
Possession of a valid UK Driving Licence and access to a personal vehicle are mandatory for this position.
- A strong dedication to helping individuals achieve as much independence as possible.
- Enthusiasm and a genuine desire to positively impact lives.
- Self-motivation, the ability to work autonomously, and effective teamwork skills.
- Competence in handling complex and challenging situations tactfully.
